Rock Out Censorship has been aggressively opposing the censors of popular
music since 1989. Rock Out Censorship was founded to act as a voice
of music fans against the army of religious oppressors (and Senator's wives)
trying to censor the music industry. Rock Out Censorship is a grass
roots anti-censorship organization seeking to counteract efforts being
made across the political spectrum to deprive us of out First Amendment
rights.
Rock Out Censorship is probably best know for their anti-censorship activist booths set up at major concert events across the country. I first ran into their booth at OzzFest 2001 at Somerset, WI. I was pretty disturbed that even there censors had managed to forbid Marilyn Manson from playing there. So I decided to get involved by putting up this page to help their efforts to protect our First Amendment rights.
Rock Out Censorship will likely have their anti-censorship information booths on the entire 2001 OzzFest tour. At their booth they will have petitions, ROC merchandise and loads of informational material to keep you educated on the issue. If you plan to be in attendence at OzzFest this year, make sure you drop by their booth to take any new information they may have, sign any new petitions you haven't signed yet, or just to say hello.

Manson's Response To The Protesters In Denver
"I am truly amazed that after all this time, religious groups still
need to attack entertainment and use these tragedies as a pitiful excuse
for their own self-serving publicity. In response to their protests,
I will provide a show where I balance my songs with a wholesome Bible reading.
This way, fans will not only hear my so-called 'violent' point of view,
but we can also examine the virtues of wonderful 'Christian' stories of
disease, murder, adultery, suicide and child sacrifice. Now that
seems like 'entertainment' to me."
"I find God to be what exists in what you create. I make music,"
declares Marilyn Manson, the rock star everyone loves to hate. Read
Beliefnet's
groundbreaking interview to learn what Manson says about Satan, preachers,
and why religious figures fascinate him.
